My third diary entry

Sorry I had to go my mom needed help setting up lunch.
Where I live in is the western great plains.
It is mostly a all dry wasteland which has a few trees sprouting out.
We see a lot of dry plants like cactus.
We also see a lot of orange and yellow colored rocks.
We also see fields of corn, beans and squash.
Those three things are the staples.
Staples are the food that most people eat and what are most harvested.
We used sharp rocks to get the corn off the cob.
We eat beans plainly.
We carve the skin of squash off then eat it.
If we ever get fat we eat a bunch of salmon.
One time the ground was shaking and we did not know what to do so we just ran around in circles.
My head started hurting so I stopped but the ground was still shaking until I stopped.
That was the weirdest moment of my life.
I have done a lot of writing so I am going to take a break from it for a while.

My second diary entry

Sorry I had to go the last time because dad needed me for dinner.
Me and my sister get along ok but some times she gets on my nerves.
Mom and dad get along fine but some times they don't share well.
We play all sorts of different games.
My sister plays with dolls made from sheep.
I play with sticks.
I use sticks for killing bugs and for a walking stick.
My dad plays with his killing tools.
He practices every day just in case some thing bad happened.
My mom plays with her cleaning tools.
I only saw the tools once because she does not want to lose them.
I also listen to all of the birds chirping.
It sounds peaceful but kinda annoying because the birds repeat them selfs.
Today I saw a five foot tall bear it was standing right in front of me and scared me.
I was screaming my mom and sister came running to help me.
They made noise so the bear would go away.
I got to go see you tomorrow.

My diary entry

Hello my name is wamblee. I am 10 years old.
My name means eagle. They named me after the eagle because I am so smart.
The eagles are smart because they can see their pray from far away.
Me and my dad like to grind corn our family.
We grind corn every day but we don't eat it every day or we will get fat.
I just got back from my dad showing me how to kill a buffalo.
 My dads name wikka.
 My moms name is chooi.
 My sisters name is chaii.
You have to be quiet so then the buffalo does not run away.
I killed a buffalo for the first time of my life.
I was so excited I almost killed myself.
My mother and sister clean our clothes and they get water for us from the river.
They also get us salmon from the river to bring in our teepee and roast it on the fire.
We had so many animals come in my teepee we had snakes, bears, worms, dogs and cats.
I got to go because my dad needs me.

Goodbye from Wamblee

Facts About The Sioux Native American Tribe

Guess what the Sioux Indian tribes name means. One fact is that the name Sioux means little snakes. I never knew that. When I found out that I am from the Sioux indian tribe I freaked out. They called a train iron horse. I get why they call it that. They call it that because iron is on the train to make it and it goes so fast like a horse goes. They got taught to speak english. I didn't believe that they speak that. They live in teepees which are 12 feet high. They played lacrosse which you need a stick with a net in the top of it and you will need a ball.

The Culture Of The Western Great Plains

The Sioux Indians tribe culture was to respect mother nature. They also respected each other. They respected everything in the world. Their were more girls and woman than boys and men. The men were the providers. They hunted while the woman were working on the home and cleaning the shirts. One hunter can kill so many buffalo that he can pick out a lot of wives to provide food with. They believed that the bear could help them with their fights because it was a really big strong fighter.

I got the sources from yahoo.com and smartkids.com

Climate Of The Western Great Plains And Sioux Entertainment

The climate of the Sioux indians was good because it was really hot all the time except for the winter it got supper cold. The Sioux lived in the minnesota area. In the minnesota area their was not that much lakes and rivers. The very few lakes were taken by the Sioux tribe because they could get fish out of the water with their big sticks and they will survive. But at one point the Sioux were getting sick from eating fish over and over again until they started hunting for different animals like the buffalo. The last thing I want to say is that they also stayed near the river to pour water on their heads because it was so hot in that area.

The Sioux played this game called croquet which needed a wooden stick and a wooden pole which entertained them.
